Cathy FitzGerald, a retired tattoo artist and co-owner of Wild at Heart Tattoo in Brisbane QLD, specialises in pet and people portraits and welcomes commissions. She is proficient in a variety of mediums - pen, graphite, ink, watercolour, gouache, acrylic, oil and digital art depending on her clients' preferences.

Styles range from fineline drawings, sketches, loose watercolour paintings, trad tattoo style designs to realistic oil paintings.

People and nature themes often coexist in Cathy's artwork, which is usually focused on flora (flowers, leaves, trees, landscapes) and animals. Whether it's a dog, cat, horse, or person, her paintings often include botanical and other nature flourishes.

​

Cathy lives on a rural property near the Gold Coast with her husband (and tattooist/co-owner of Wild at Heart Tattoo), Bernhard Olszewski, two teenagers, Jake and Casper, and a menagerie of dogs, cats, ducks, chooks, horses, possums, roos, wallabies, goannas and birds!
